About the locals:  The locals of Bandhavgarh are strongly attached to the tigers of the park. The crisis of decreasing population figures has left them depressed. They are always willing to give information related to the place and are very welcoming in all.

Sightseeing:  Not a big fan of the wild? Bandhavgarh has a lot more to offer than just its park. One of the fascinating elements in the Bandhavgarh vicinity is the ancient Bandhavgarh Fort. Apart from being the oldest fort in India it is also believed that this fort was a gift from Shri Ram to his brother(bandhav) Lakshman. Other major tourist attractions involve Village Tala, Mahaman Pond, Kethika, Climber’s Point, Bari Gufa, Three Cave Point, The Shesh Shaiya (11 meter long statue of Lord Vishnu), Fossil National Park.
