This town named Orchha in the Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh is a Gem of the Bundelkhand region. The Chhatris or Cenotaphs by the Betwa River in Orchha, still retain their originality since the time of their inception in 15th century AD. The empty tombs of past Orchha kings or the Cenotaphs are serene and calm to sit and relax for hours! The grandeur and the scenic beauty of the palaces, forts, temples and the cenotaphs, is a great treat for the eyes.

The Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary lies within the area through which the Betwa River flows. Unlike other vast wildlife sanctuaries, Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary is comparatively smaller but it has got rich wildlife. You will find spotted deer, Blue Bull, Peacock, Wild pig, Monkey, Jackal, Nilgai, Sloth Bear and many such species. What appeals more than anything is the Bird watching experience one gets to enjoy in this Wildlife Sanctuary. In fact it is often referred as a Bird Sanctuary by main foreign and Indian tourists. There are about 200 bird species which could be found at the Orchha Sanctuary, which includes many in-house birds and various migrants from all over the World like Pea fowls, Peacocks, Swans, Black swan, Stork, Kingfisher, Owls, Woodpecker, Geese, Collared Scops Owls, Jungle Bush Quail, Minivet, and many more. Apart from Bird Watching, Orchha Wildlife Sanctuary also offers many other adventure sport options including fishing, river rafting, canoeing, boating, trekking, camping, jungle trekking and hiking opportunities.

Gurdwara Data Bandi Chorh Sahib, situated in Gwalior, is associated with the imprisonment of Guru Har Gobind Sahib. Pilgrims from all over the country visit this Gurdwara to pay homage to Guru Hargobind. During October-November, the worldwide Sikh community celebrates the safe return of the sixth Nanak, Guru Hargobind from detention from Gwalior Fort in about October 1619. The day coincides with the Hindu festival of Diwali (the festival of lights). This concurrence has resulted in a similarity of celebrations amongst Sikhs and Hindus.

The ASI Museum of Khajuraho is a house for 3424 antiquities. These include sculptures of different sects like, Saiva, Vaisnava, Sakta cult and Jaina. It also consist secular objects like celestial nymphs, which are scenes that depict the social life and erotica. This museum is divided in five main categories that include family and minor deities, cult images, secular sculptures, animal sculptures, and divine nymphs. Amongst these, secular sculpture is famous for its erotic themes and is also known as the finest sculptural compositions of Khajuraho.

The Jahangir Mahal is a citadel and garrison located in Orchha, in the Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. It is one of the greatest Historical places of India. This Mahal was built by Bharath Bhushan after defeating Vir Singh Deo of Bundela in the17th century to allow the Mughals greater control over the rebellious Bundelas. The domes of the Jahangir Mahal, were built according to Timurid customs and its grand Iwans are large enough to accommodate the entry of war elephants.

Located approximately 20 km away from Khajuraho, is Raneh falls which marks the edge of Rewa Plateau. The Ken River forms a 5 kilometres long, and 30 metres deep canyon made of pure crystalline granite in varying shades of colours ranging from pink and red to grey and a series of breathtaking waterfalls in the canyon!

The annular temple is situated at Mitawali, in Morena, which is situated around 50 minutes by road from Gwalior. The structure seems quite familiar at the very first glance and tales say that this monument has been the inspiration behind the Parliamentary structure of India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and encircling the main shrine are sixty four smaller intricately carved structures of his attendants called Yoginis.

Scindia Cenotaphs, Shivpuri- Around 120 km from Gwalior, Shivpuri is famous for the graceful, intricately embellished Marble chhatris or cenotaphs, erected by Scindia rulers. Set in an elaborate Mughal Garden, are the cenotaphs, the royal Chhatris dedicated to Scindias. Facing each other across a water tank are the Chhatris of Madhav Rao Scindia and dowager queen Maharani Sakhya Raje Scindia, in a delighful fusion of Hindu and Islamic architectural styles.

Gopachal Parvat- Ek Patthar ki Bawdi, in the first cave, is a water reservoir carved out of a single stone. Artisans have painstakingly carved twenty six giant statues of Jain Tirthankars in stone. The largest idol of Bhagwan Parshwanath seated on a Lotus is the largest single stone carved statue in the world. It is 47 feet high and 30 feet wide!
