Our Youth is Indeed Powerful: ANSH

Ansh

While the stereotypical internships bind their interns into complex organizational structures and pre defined areas of activity, a youth led organization called ANSH (Act Nonsense Spread Happiness) came up with a one of its kind summer internship opportunity. In the 30 day program the interns were not only given an insight into the various problems prevailing in the society but they also met the people who are fighting against all odds to make a difference in the society. Moreover, the individual initiatives and ideas of the interns have been heavily promoted.

During the internship, the group visited many organizations who work with issues such as the LGBT community, Women Empowerment, Under Privileged Children, differently abled people, victims of the Bhopal gas tragedy, on rural and urban youth empowerment and many more. Talk sessions were arranged to enlighten the interns and help them exchange their thoughts. Some of the interactions included sessions with young entrepreneurs like Mr. Harsh Songra and Mr. Sushant Pattnaik, ex chief secretary of Madhya Pradesh Mr. Sharad Chandra Behar, AAP state chief Mr. Alok Agarwal and Ms Asha Mishra at Bhartiya Gyan Vigyan Samiti. These leaders shared their life experiences, their struggle to make a change in the society and guided the interns on a path to a heightened sense of responsibility and personal transformation.
